It’s hard to believe that you can find enjoyment in a bunch of boxes. But, you really can. These are special boxes, though. They’re called Sturdi Boxes and they are collapsible boxes that are water-proof, easy to store, and simple to throw in your car for your pets.
Sturdi is one of the leaders in pet carriers, and now they have expanded their product line to include boxes. So, what could you possibly use these for? I’m telling you, I’ve found a dozen uses in just a few days.

The same device you use to play your favorite tunes and stay in touch can now play a big role in your relationship with your pup. With the touch of a finger -- or in some cases a shake or two -- your iPod Touch or iPhone can help you get to know your pet better, keep it safer and even teach your old dog a new trick. Just visit the iTunes store for a number of software applications that target dog lovers and won’t put a dent in your wallet. Most are free or inexpensive.

Funeral For A Friend
Pet loss is one of my least favorite things to write about – probably because we’ve had so much of it lately. My own pack has decreased in number from 3 to 1 in only a few weeks. Many of you know that we recently lost Roscoe and Tristan. Roscoe succumbed mysteriously from an unknown illness that took him in his sleep. He passed away with Cheiss and Kyra, the Cog, at his side.
No one likes to think about death. No one wants to consider what happens when we wake up to a beloved pet that has passed on in his or her sleep. Yet, when it happens, you will realize how important pre-planning is, and by then – it’s usually too late. A pet’s death is something that many people feel as deeply, and sometimes more deeply (according to this recent study) than the death of a person. There’s theories about why – some of them include the fact that while we can tell an animal anything, many people continue to keep secrets from others. No matter the reasons, it’s an event that none of us ever want to think about.
