The Cripple Creek District Museum is not only pet-friendly, they wiill be open every day between March 20 and April 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Museum now features five historic buildings with thousands of artifacts on display. Check out their two Victorian apartments to see how the rich and middle class lived a century ago. Ever wondered how a miner lived in the 1890's? Come see our newly opened authentic miner's cabin. French Blanche's cabin shows how a woman alone survived during the 1930's, and their turn of the century Assay Office includes a fifteen-minute video on the gold mining process.

They welcome well-behaved pets in any of the buildings in their facility. They encourage pet owners to bring their pets in with them versus leaving them in their cars, especially during the summer. Pets should be on a leash or carried. The only thing asked is that, if there are more than two animals in the building they be kept separated by their owners. The facility includes outside grounds where people can walk their pets. All they ask is that the owners clean up after them.

You won't want to miss their unique Gift Shop. They have the best history book selection in Teller County, as well as hundreds of unique items including dolls, china, artisan jewelry, mineral samples and souvenirs.Their  self-guided tour allows you to spend as little or as much time as you want on the grounds, and your tickets are good all day. It's a great place to bring the kids while they are out of school, or your out-of-town guests.

Winter Hours: Oct. 1-May 17        10 a.m. - 4 p.m.   Saturday, Sunday

Admission prices are just $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for Colorado residents, $3.00 for seniors, military (active or not) and children ages 7-12. Children six and under are admitted free.
