United Airlines has the following policies on pet-travel:
Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage.
Fees: $125 each way as carry-on, and $250 each way when traveling as checked baggage.
Notes:
- Passengers are required to make sure all health and pet travel documents are current and compliant with local, state, federal and international entry requirements and regulations.
- Dogs, cats, rabbits, and household birds are allowed as carry-on.
- Some other pets, including dogs of the pit bull breed, hamsters and guinea pigs, may travel as checked baggage only.

American Airlines has the following policies on pet-travel:
Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage. Restrictions vary for UK and US-based animals, so please refer to their website.
Fees: $125 each way as carry-on, $175 each way as checked baggage.
Notes:
- A health certificate is required for pets traveling as checked baggage. No certificate is needed for pets traveling as carry-on. Please note that upon arrival the destination state may require a certificate.
- Maximum of one carrier per customer, and that carrier may contain up to two pets of the same species.
- Carrier may not weigh more than 20 pounds regardless of how many animals it contains.
- Maximum of two pets per customer as checked baggage.

Alaska Air has the following policies on pet-travel:
Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage.
Fees: $100 each way for both in-cabin and cargo travel.
Notes:
- Pets may not be allowed as Checked Bags (cargo) if temperatures at departure or arrival destinations are extreme (whether hot or cold).
- Health Cert within 30 days; Not allowed to Hawaii, or in cargo to Reno,NV.
- Certain flights during the 2011-2012 holiday season will not be allowing pets as carry-on or checked baggage. Check their website for details.
- Dogs, cats, rabbits, and household birds are allowed as carry-on.
- Dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, household birds, non-poisonous reptiles, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, and tropical fish are allowed as checked baggage.

US Airways has the following policies on pet-travel:
Pets are allowed as carry-on for travel throughout the continental US. Check their website for information on travel outside of the US.
Fees: $125 each way.
Notes:
- The in-cabin weight limit is 20 pounds including the kennel that must be able to fit under the seat.
- Only 3 pets can be on board at one time, so advance reservations are advised.
- 1 small domestic dog, cat or bird per passenger.
