Water is a particular hazard and as responsible pet owners, we have to take the same precautions with our pets as we do with our kids. That includes personal flotation devices (PFDs) and sun protection! Yet we also want our pets to look stylish. And what better company than BodyGlove to provide the most stylish water safety. Last summer, PetsWeekly mentioned a couple of items from the BodyGlove pet line, and we want to expound on more of these this summer. We were hoping for high-quality, durable, sleek, and fashionable products, and we weren’t disappointed. Here’s the scoop on three products from BodyGlove Pet Line.
When we wrote about this floatation device last summer, the prices started at $34.99, which was a pretty good deal. This summer, you can get an Oahu vest from Dogs Night Out (one of the approved distributors of the BodyGlove pet line) for $24.99, no matter which of the five sizes you buy.
The tent has pockets on the sides so that you can fill it with sand or rocks to keep it from drifting away in the breeze. Store a couple of empty plastic bottles filled with rocks, sand, or water along with your BodyGlove Pet Tent so you can just pop them in the pockets. It will make clean-up that much easier. $19.99 isn’t a lot to spend to make sure your dog isn’t in the sun too long. The only drawback we could find on the Pet Tent was the size. If you have a large breed dog, or your pet is afraid of small spaces, this tent isn’t the right one for them.we did, however, manage to get a full-grown man packed into the small area!
If you haven’t tried any of the BodyGlove pet line, we encourage you to do so. Maybe you just like to take your dog to the pool – the vest alone, especially for the small breeds, would come in handy when putting them in or taking them out of the pool. We love that they use the same quality materials that they use in their human products. We don’t skimp with our pets, and it makes us happy when companies acknowledge that fact in their product designs. To get the right fit for your pup, be sure to use the BodyGlove sizing chart before you order! blog comments powered by Disqus |

Let's face it - pet safety is as big of a concern for pet owners as it is for human parents. Whether we're hiking, sailing, camping, or just hitting the beach – we all want safety products for our furry loved ones that we can trust.
Oahu Pet Floatation Device: This floatation vest is the number one “must have” as far as we’re concerned. The inside of the vest is comprised of molded EVA foam, which is the same stuff that children’s floatation devices are made of. The cover is made of neoprene for quick drying. The best feature on the Oahu vest is the handle that is attached to the top of the vest. If your dog ends up “in the drink,” it gives you an easy way to pull them back up out of the water, no matter how much flailing of the legs might be going on.
Paw Collar: We think these collars are perfect for any dog lover who likes to bring their dog along on their aquatic adventures. The inner lining is made of neoprene, which will prevent rashes and irritation because it doesn’t absorb water, which means it dries fast. The collar itself is made of nylon so that it’s still a strong and durable collar. Again, the price is very reasonable – only
