The event benefits AZ Power Paws Assistance Dogs, a non-profit organization that provides assistance dogs to disabled persons. The cost to participate is $25 per person and children under 12 are free. This years event will includes: - A Silent Auction and PetsWeekly raffle "The approximate cost and value of an assistance dog when fully trained is $20,000, but with the help of donations we are able to place dogs for a minimal $5,000 fee," says Meg Flynn, Office Manager and Trainer for AZ Power Paws. According to the 2000 US Census, over 25 million Americans are unable to walk 1/4 of a mile or even climb 10 stairs without some kind of assistance. The first 500 people registered and checked in will recieve lunch provided by Alice Cooperstown during the event. Register online to participate in the walk or to make a donation.
